Terms of Service | Pocket Pastors

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Zero Innovavi Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong ("we", "us", "our"), and govern your access to and use of the Pocket Pastors website at pocketpastors.com and the Pocket Pastors mobile applications for iOS and Android (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that any information you provide is accurate.

3. What Pocket Pastors is — and what it is not

Pocket Pastors is a tool for personal spiritual reflection, scripture reading, prayer assistance, and journaling. It uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence models, to generate responses, prayers, and reflections. The Service is intended as a companion for your own faith journey only.

Pocket Pastors is not a substitute for:

medical, psychiatric, or psychological care from a qualified professional;
licensed pastoral counseling, confession, or sacramental ministry;
legal, financial, or other professional advice;
emergency services. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency number or a recognised crisis line such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US), Samaritans on 116 123 (UK / Ireland), or a comparable service in your country.

Responses generated by the Service may be incomplete, inaccurate, or theologically simplified, and should always be weighed against scripture, prayer, and trusted spiritual community.

4. Your account

To access most features you will create an account, including by using Sign in with Apple or similar third-party authentication. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please notify us at info@zeroinnovavi.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Acceptable use

When using the Service you agree not to:

break the law, infringe any third party's rights, or use the Service for fraud or harassment;
attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, automate, or interfere with the Service or our systems;
upload or generate content that promotes self-harm, hatred, violence, sexual exploitation, or harmful misinformation;
impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your relationship with us;
attempt to extract, train on, or commercialise the output of our AI systems other than for your own personal spiritual use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the journal entries, prayer requests, and counseling messages you create in the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service for you. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train publicly available AI models or for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Subscriptions, one-time purchases, and refunds

The Service is free to use with advertising. Optional in-app purchases include a one-time ad-free pack of 50 AI replies and monthly or yearly subscriptions for unlimited ad-free access. All purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) under their respective billing terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your device's subscription settings (App Store or Google Play). Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies; we cannot issue refunds directly for purchases made through their stores.

8. Advertising

The free version of the mobile app and certain pages on this website display advertisements served by Google through the AdMob and AdSense services. By using the free Service you agree that advertisements may be shown, and that limited data such as a device advertising identifier may be collected by Google for ad delivery and measurement, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can remove ads at any time by purchasing the ad-free pack or subscribing.

9. Intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and branding — is owned by Zero Innovavi Limited or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Scripture quotations are used in accordance with the licence terms of the relevant Bible translations. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right or licence to use our trademarks or trade dress without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that AI-generated responses are accurate, doctrinally sound, or appropriate for any specific situation. Use of the Service is at your own discretion and risk.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zero Innovavi Limited and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or US$50, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from within the app or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if continued provision becomes commercially or legally unworkable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution — will continue to apply.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will, where reasonably possible, be announced through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
